One Thousand Adventures

One of the main reasons for illegal immigration is economy, poverty, and unemployment. Those issues happen because of the politics negligence. For this reason, people have to travel undocumented to other countries, for example US. However, many of them died because of the crime and corruption in Mexico. To start with, the drug smugglers are participating in human trafficking, and one of the groups at most risk to be kidnapped is people who go through Mexico to get to the US. It isn’t uncommon for people trying to immigrate illegally to go missing trying to get to the US. Recently, seventy-two illegal immigrants from Central and South America trying to get to the US were found dead. It is suspected they were killed for refusing to do work for drug traffickers. Lately, there’s been a decline on illegal immigration because there are different governments in Latin America, and the economy is improving as more job opportunities and increase in wages have resulted in those who would be willing to immigrate illegally to stay home. Most who immigrate illegally would rather stay at home and work than to take a risky journey into the US and be away for long periods of time. Additionally, Bush and Obama have deported approximately three million immigrants and have created a tremendous deficit. That means lower job opportunities. Therefore, it is more sensible to stay at home and work. To end with, illegal immigration is influenced by many factors. It is influenced by poorly management of the economy. As if USA economy is doing well and the rest of countries, Central or South America economy is doing bad, then there is more incentive to immigrate to the US plus the cost of actually getting into the US since it has risen quite a bit. Another factor is safety, as the trip to US is fairly dangerous especially those who are traveling through Mexico have to deal with drug cartels. Another large influence is crime, as it becomes increasingly more dangerous to get to the US through Mexico because of drug cartels. So many potential illegal immigrants are deterred by the risk of being knapped or killed.

Adventures of a Baseball Fan
By:"Candy L. Vandyke"
Published on 2010-08 by AuthorHouse
After seeing her first baseball game at Fenway Park in Boston, in 2002, Candy became captivated by the game of baseball. Over the next couple of years, that passion drew her to ballparks all around the Northeast. The aspiration to see each team in person enticed her to venture further and further to ballparks in the Midwest and Southeast. Eventually, the yearning to visit every Major League baseball park became a mission. Traveling with a friend, family member, or alone, Candy spent her vacations over the next few years fulfilling that dream. Candy's adventures, at times, incorporated two games in two days, in two different states; five games in five days, in four different states; and two games in two different stadiums, in the same day. In total, she saw over 70 games in 36 different ballparks, as well as two spring training stadiums, all while meeting wonderful people, seeing some unique game situations and visiting amazing sites along the way. Her adventures were not without some tears, fears and unspeakable joys, however. The culmination, a dream realized and, truly, an adventure of a lifetime!

Pale Morning Done
By:"Jeff Hull"
Published on 2005-06-01 by Rowman & Littlefield
Marshall is learning to love the land. He’s in the process of transforming his father’s ranch into prime spring creek fishing, literally molding the land as he attempts to fashion himself. He’s a guide, along with his two closest friends, Molly and Alton. All three are trying to step out of a youthful fascination with the freewheeling, fish-guiding life, and into a sustainable life on the land and water of Montana. Pale Morning Done is a coming-of place novel, in which Marshall must decide between the woman who wants him and the woman who loves him; between the future desired by his father and the future created by himself; between the truth that will bind and the omission that will free. It is about the tides that toss friends, sometimes against each other, and ultimately unites them against enemies. It is about the delicate balance of our lives that violence can abruptly topple. Beautifully written, this first novel scours the landscape of emotion as it revels in the physical landscape of Montana. Pale Morning Done is sure to place Jeff Hull in the company of other great chroniclers of the new West, including Norman McLean, William Kittredge, and Tom McGuane.
